Meet Laura and Andrew

Hi I'm Andrew.

My partner Laura and I live in the Tasmanian City of Hobart. Well cities in Tasmania aren't that big. Probably more like large towns really. Somewhat rural in nature, and certainly travelling from the centre of town to the country doesn't take long at all.

We love animals. We have a rabbit, a guinea pig and two dogs.

Laura is a wonderful gardner and prefers not to grow anything unless we can eat it. Even the flowers she grows (for me) are edible.

We also have a passion for collecting things from bygone eras. We make many trips during the week to thrift shops and tip shops. Wonderful items can be found anywhere, and these places are full of treasures.

Each item tells a story and is individual. The same can be said for advertisements from past years. These old ads were crafted to appeal to the people of the day.

Featuring everything from clothing to automobiles they give us a glimpse of the lifestyle and aspirations these people had.

They can often stir memories and emotions in us, reflecting past cultural norms, values and trends, providing us with a glimpse into history.

It was this love of retro and vintage that inspired us to take old advertisements and print them on items of clothing and accessories, to be proudly worn showing that the wearer has pride and interest in times gone by.
